Room Parent Volunteer Information

Room parents (a.k.a., room moms, classroom aides, volunteer coordinators) are the magic ingredient of every elementary school year. Without these critical volunteers helping our teachers, planning celebrations and communicating with parents in the classroom, school would be a much duller and less organized place.

​​Lead Room Parent Responsibilities:
Maintain close communication with the classroom teacher in the planning and implementation of classroom activities during the school year, including all class holiday parties, End of Year Party and fulfill Fun Run, Field Day, and School Carnival responsibilities.  

Work with the Assistant Room Parent and the Room Parent Team to accomplish the above duties plus any other classroom needs that may occur in the year.

Provide timely communication to parents of upcoming events and coordinate any volunteers and/or donations as needed.

Assistant Room Parent Responsibilities:
Maintain close communication with Room Parent
Assist Room Parent in the planning and implementation of the above activities

Room Parent Team:
Assist Room Parent and Assistant Room Parent in the above activities.
